List of Delegates to the National Conference

President Goodluck Jonathan, Thursday, approved the appointments of three assistant secretaries and 492 delegates to the National Conference, NC, which will now be inaugurated on March 17.

According to a statement by Pius Anyim, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, the assistant secretaries, who are to serve in the National Conference Secretariat are Akilu Ndabawa (Assistant Secretary, Conference Proceedings); Mahmood Yakubu (Assistant Secretary, Finance and Administration); and  James Akpandem (Assistant Secretary, Media and Communications).

The National Conference shall be inaugurated on Monday March 17 at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja at 11:00 am.

All delegates are expected to attend the inauguration, Mr. Ayim said.

The government had on Monday named the three principal officers. They are a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Idris Kutigi, as Chairman; a former foreign affairs minister, Bolaji Akinyemi, Deputy Chairman; and Valerie Azinge as Secretary.
